What makes this car special:

Alpina is an automobile manufacturing company based in Bavaria Germany established in 1965. Their initial focus was on carburettors and revised cylinder heads and they develop officially approved high performance upgrades for BMW cars to this day:

The C2 is based on the BMW E30 3 series which was one of the most refined performance cars of the 1980’s.

Performance modifications included:

  • C2 spec M20 engine – 2693cc engine block
  • Mahle pistons that raised compression ratio to 10.2:1
  • Reworked cylinder head with bigger valves
  • Alpina remapped Bosch Motronic ignition
  • Alpina exhaust system

All the above increased power to 210 BHP over the standard 325i which only produced 169 BHP

In addition, Alpine enhancements to Sytner built examples included:

  • Alpina 16 inch rims
  • Alpina steering wheel
  • Bilstein shock absorbers
  • M Tech bodykit

This example is a January 1986 build and was specced in Arctic blue with Pearl beige leather and had the following list of optional extras fitted:

  • Power steering
  • Limited slip differential
  • Electric sunroof
  • Air conditioning
  • Front electric windows
  • Central locking
  • Sport seats
  • Auto speed control (cruise control)

According to records supplied by Sytner of Nottingham, this example is a fully authorised conversion of a BMW E30 325i Coupe to an Alpina C2 2.7 completed by them in February 1986. Sytner of Nottingham was the only company authorised by Alpina to carry out Alpina builds.

It comes with original sales invoice, original books, maintenance history from new plus toolkit. It has been well maintained and had a recent service
