what makes this car special?

The 328 GTS is one of Ferrari’s well known mid to late 80’s mid-engine sports cars that has evolved from the 308 GTS/GTB and was also one of Ferrari’s commercial successes, producing over 6000 units in the GTS variant from 1985 to 1989. Even though the Ferrari 328 GTS is based on its predecessor, there were some improvements done to the body and engine to make it one of the most reliable and functional Ferraris of its time.

The 3.2 liter naturally aspirated, 90 degree V8 engine is an evolved powerplant from the Ferrari Dino that was developed until the early 2000s and is coupled to a 5 speed manual gearbox. It produces 270 BHP and can achieve a 0-100km/h time of 5.9 seconds. It will also reach a top speed of 262km/h, a truly capable speed for a car of that era. With a curb weight figure of just 1.263kg, it is also considered to be a light and agile performance car.

Improvements and revisions were made in 1988 when the 328 was fitted with an anti-lock brake system (ABS), upgraded suspension geometry to improve overall handling characteristics as well as redesigned convex shaped wheels.

The interior featured more easier to use switchgear compared to the 308, which made the 328 a convenient car to use while in transit. The seating was also very supportive to hold both driver and passenger in place comfortably while cornering.

This example was produced and released in 1989, therefore being one of the revised ABS models and has been well taken care of by Crossley & Webb’s storage division for the past year with regular maintenance and testing done to ensure its decent condition.
