Ferrari 612 Scaglietti SPECIFICATIONS
what makes this car special?
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a high performance Grand Tourer that Ferrari made between 2004 and 2010. It was also Ferrari’s flagship model at the time.
Ferrari named this model after Sergio Scaglietti, the legendary coach builder based in Modena. His company, Carrozzeria Scaglietti, has since been taken over by Ferrari. As a result, it is where they all produce the aluminium bodies.
Automobile designer Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina designed the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and shared his skills in designing the first generation Honda NSX, Ferrari 599 GTB and the Enzo.
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti’s scooped flanks were inspired by The Ferrari 375 MM, a car that Italian film director Roberto Rossellini commissioned for his wife Ingrid Bergman. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is lighter and more agile than the models it replaces because it is the second all aluminium Ferrari after the 360 Modena.
Even though this model is more practical than most Ferraris, it’s V12 engine can propel four occupants to 323 km/h. In addition, the well-balanced chassis with rear mounted gearbox gives a confidence inspiring ride and overall promising performance.
A well-known Cape Town businessman took delivery of this example from new in 2006 and ordered the car to his specification with Blue Pozzi paintwork and a Crema interior. This example has only covered 30 100 km from new and it has also been well maintained and recently serviced.
The completed service items include the following:
- Agents have replaced the clutch,
- New Michelin tires fitted
- Paint correction and interior rejuvenation completed by our preferred detailing specialist, Mike of Distinct Detail.
At R 1 550 000 this is an impressive, well sorted, low mileage four seater Ferrari that represents great value for money.
