Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 4S SPECIFICATIONS
what makes this car special?
In 2004 Porsche released the 997 version of the iconic Porsche 911. Significant styling changes were made to the 997 series due to the unpopular headlight design of the preceding 996.
The S derivatives of the 997 were officially released towards the end of 2004 and received the upgraded 3.8 liter flat six engine that produces 376 BHP, a 29 BHP increase from the base Carrera model. This is thanks not only to the displacement increase but the upgraded sports exhaust system too. The S model also includes the Porsche active suspension management system (PASM), 19 inch wheels and an upgraded braking system that is also used on the 911 Turbo. The 4S model features an all wheel drive system which provides superior grip and handling especially on poor road conditions and a wider rear track and body giving it a more aggressive appearance. The 997 also received a few technological interior upgrades and changes and leaving a modern aluminium finish throughout.
This is an excellent example of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Convertible which has only covered 39 700 km from new. It comes with a full service record with the most recent service in October 2019 at which time a new set of Michelin tyres were fitted.
