Twin cam engines, aerodynamics by Malcolm Sayer and later disc brakes secured Jaguar Le mans victories in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956 and 1957. These technologies were carried over to the production XK models which firmly established Jaguar as an innovative and respected sportscar brand. Like the Jaguar XK’s of the 1950’s the modern XK pioneered new technology, this time aluminium chassis technology which saved weight and improved rigidity. This model offered refined performance and luxury with a sportscar edge with a 300 BHP 4.2l V8 paired with a 6 speed fully automatic ZF gearbox. This resulted in acceleration figures of 0 – 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and a electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h
The modern second generation XK was styled by Ian Callum with details evoking the legendary Jaguar XK models of the 1950’s
This Jaguar XK 4.2 coupe is a one owner car with a pre delivery inspection taking place on the 27th of November 2006 and first delivery and registration on the 11th March 2007 and has only covered 45 650 km since then. It was ordered in Black with light grey interior with the Larger 20-inch rims. It is in very good condition with the bodywork having only minor cosmetic repairs in the past. Since then it has benefited from a full exterior and interior detail and ceramic coating by our recommended detailer Distinct detail.
This represents great value for money for an Ian Callum styled low mileage V8 Jaguar with XK heritage
