The Maserati Zagato Spyder is based on the well-known Biturbo model that started production back in 1981 with the Spyder starting production in 1984.
Even though the Biturbo was designed by Pierangelo Andreani and Marcello Gandini, the Spyder was designed and assembled by Zagato in Milan
The Zagato Spyder was released with either a 2.0L 18V V6 or a 2.8L twin-turbo 90 degree V6 which was paired to either a 3-speed auto, 4 speed ZF auto or a 5-speed ZF manual gearbox. They were made in very small numbers, making it a rather rare and collectible Maserati model.
This Maserati Zagato Spyder i was made in 1990, making it the most powerful version available with 220bhp and has the desirable 5-speed ZF manual transmission.
It completed a 4000 km Maserati tour of the Cape early in 2020 and has been in managed storage with Crossley & Webb since.
This is a great opportunity to own a rare and collectible Maserati with impressive performance levels. (only 603 Spyder i examples with the 2.8l V6 were produced worldwide)
This Maserati Zagato Spyder is on display in the Crossley & Webb showroom until 2 pm on Saturday the 12th of September 2020
