The Alfa Romeo Giulia was designed to replace the 159 model and is the first volume production Alfa Romeo to feature the Longitudinal rear wheel drive layout in over 20 years. This enhances the driving dynamics by achieving a 50/50 weight distribution. The Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) is the performance version of the Giulia and is the most powerful road legal Alfa Romeo ever produced. It is a direct competitor to the BMW M3 and Mercedes Benz C63 AMG and has won several awards including the 2018 Motor Trend Car of the Year award and the 2016 Top Gear Magazine Car of the Year title.
This Alfa Romeo features an all-aluminium 2.9 litre, 90 degree, twin turbocharged V6 engine which was developed in collaboration with Ferrari. It produces 505 horsepower and is coupled to an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission, sending the power to the rear wheels. This results in a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed just shy of 300km/h. Stopping power is provided by front 6 piston and rear 4 piston Brembo callipers with carbon ceramic rotors.
Other performance enhancements include a carbon fibre active aero front splitter, an active suspension system which includes multilink rear suspension and carbon fibre body trim.
This Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio is a Launch edition example, was first registered in 2017 and has covered 46 500km since new
