The Land Rover Defender was first released in 1983 and was developed from the original Land Rover series models which commenced production in 1948. It was released in two versions, the 90 and 110. The all-new Land Rover Defender was launched in 2020 and is a result of 70 years of Land Rover development. The new Land Rover Defender stays true to its utilitarian history with a design strongly incorporating the DNA of the iconic Series 1, 2, 3 and Defender models. However, this is a thoroughly modern product with a new monocoque chassis and efficient powerful drivetrains which elevate comfort levels while still retaining the legendary off road capability
