The Porsche GT3 was introduced in 1999 as a lightweight track focused model. The Porsche 997 gen 2 was in production from 2009 to 2011 with only 2256 examples worldwide. It saw an increase in power to 435 BHP with forged aluminium pistons, titanium connecting rods and dry sump lubrication. Dynamic engine mounts and front axle lift were introduced as optional extras for the first time
