The Jeep Wagoneer was an extremely popular car and in production from 1962 to 1991, the third-longest production run in automotive history. It was ahead of its time and one of the first SUVs produced as we know them today. Initially powered by an inline-six, in following years a V8 was added. The formula was as follows, placed a refined, car-like body on a ladder frame chassis and give it a torquey engine, four-wheel drive, automatic gearbox, an independent front suspension, and power steering. Add some chrome and later woodgrain …. and you have the Jeep Wagoneer.
