The Maserati GranTurismo is cited as the car that redefined Maserati for the modern era. Maserati shifted strategy from sportscars to grand tourers with the introduction of the GranTurismo at the 2007 Geneva Motor show. It is powered by the 4.2L F136 V8 engine, co-developed with Ferrari and built in the Ferrari plant. This engine has a deeper smoother tone as it does not share the flat plain crankshaft design of the Ferrari V8’s and has an operatic, and uniquely Italian growl that many enthusiasts consider the best-sounding V8 exhaust note ever produced. Other common suppliers with Ferrari include the luxurious Poltrona Frau leather interior, the Brembo callipers and the Magneti Marelli electronics
The 6-speed ZF automatic (torque converter) gearbox provides much smoother shifts than the "DuoSelect" automated manuals found in earlier Maseratis. Designed by Pininfarina, The Maserati GranTurismo is widely considered one of the most beautiful modern cars, combining exotic Italian styling with a 2+2 seating layout that is actually usable for adults
This Maserati GranTurismo is the version powered by the 4.2l V8 engine with the smooth torque converter 6 speed ZF gearbox. It is considered to be the most usable and refined derivative of the GranTurismo produced. This example was first delivered in 2013 by Viglietti Motors Bryanston and is finished in the desirable black on black colour combination and has only covered 73 500km since. It has its full set of books outlining a good maintenance history and has only had two owners from new.
The Maserati GranTurismo is an elegant Pininfarina styled GT car with Italian flair which is usable daily and presents great value for money.
