The Maserati GranTurismo is cited as the car that redefined Maserati for the modern era. Maserati shifted strategy from sportscars to grand tourers with the introduction of the GranTurismo at the 2007 Geneva Motor show. It is powered by the 4.2L F136 V8 engine, co-developed with Ferrari and built in the Ferrari plant.
