Introduced at the Frankfurt Motor show in 1965, the W108 series set a new standard for mass produced luxury saloons Designed by Paul Bracq, who is also known for designing the Mercedes Benz W113 Pagoda. He took inspiration from the W111 luxury convertibles and coupes which are often mistaken as part of the W108 series.
In 1967 to 1972 the second series of W108’s was introduced with in line 6-cylinder overhead cam engines now upgraded to 2.8 litres (M130) with the 280s fueled by two twin barrel downdraft Zenith carburetors
The W108 series was an amazing success known for reliability and durability.
This example was built in East London by Car Distributors and is finished in the beautiful Arabian Grey colour with the local style tan leather interior. It has a desirable period correct air-conditioning system as well as Becker Grand Prix radio.
