The second generation of the Mercedes Benz CLK was in production from 2001 to 2009. The Mercedes Benz CLK 200 Kompressor Sport uses the supercharged version of Mercedes' M271 engine, which was a 1.8L inline four that initially had an output of 161hp but saw power increase after the 2006 model year to 181hp.
In 2005, a Sports edition, based on the Avantgarde specification, was introduced, and featured:
- A restyled front bumper
- A spoiler lip on the boot
- 5 spoke AMG 5 spoke alloy wheels in staggered sizes – Front: 225/40 ZR18 – Rear: 255/35 ZR18
- Cross-drilled brake rotors
- Bi-xenon headlights.
This Mercedes Benz is a 2007 CLK 200 Kompressor Sport Convertible with the 184 BHP 4 cylinder 1.8l engine. This model was not available in South Africa and was purchased in March 2008 with 5007 miles and imported to South Africa by its returning resident owner. It is in a well-maintained condition with very low mileage with its digital odometer now set to kilometers which reads 61 031km. A file accompanying the car documents a full Mercedes Benz maintenance history plus new brake discs and pads were recently fitted.
A modern touch screen infotainment system has been retrofitted with the original system still with car.
