The R107 series Mercedes Benz SL was an instant success with advanced driving dynamics, solid build quality and ease of use on a superior level compared to its predecessor, the W113 Pagoda. The 500sl was manufactured between 1980 and 1989 and was powered by an all aluminium 5.0 V8 which produced 237 BHP.

This example was first delivered in the UK in November 1981 and has only covered 88 050 miles. It was ordered in Astral Silver 735 G with Blue interior and the hardtop roof in Lapis blue Metallic
